The veldt
Have you ever thought of making things to do all your work? In the book The Veldt by Ray Bradbury you will experience compassion and hate. This is a great book except for the beginning, it takes too long to develop witch bores the reader before the good parts. This book also has a lot of good parts in it to, like the screams that sound familiar. Over all this author made the story come together quite nicely, except for a few mistakes (like the whole beginning). This book is the most shocking book I have ever read because of the suspense!
This book is the most shocking book I have ever read, even though the author gives you hints along the way it still came as a shock. The author did this by making some clues as fakes or in the wrong order while somewhere in the correct place at the right time. During the surprise the author made it seem as if it was not a big deal by having the children that ended their parent’s life, by sitting down and having lunch. Here is the example: pg 25 last paragraph “well here I am,’’ said David McClean in the nursery doorway. “Oh hello.’’ He stared at the two at the two children seated in the center of the open glade eating a little picnic lunch”. The author makes it seem as if nothing happened as if it was a normal day with some high suspense. Mostly because she later asked him for a cup of tea.
Although this book is full of suspense and mysteries it is also filled with boring everyday life that we do not need a book to know. Here is another example: At dinner they ate alone because peter was gone to a carnival. So George Hadley sat bemused at the table watching the dining room table produce warm food. (Pg 7 last paragraph) This is also a very good example for another thing the period of time or when it takes place. (It tells you nothing and all of the sudden a table is producing food then the wife goes on complaining about automatic bathtub tooth brush and so on.)Witch confuses the reader a lot and the might put the book away and not read it witch would not be good. The author could have fixed this by making the title more futuristic, or using future names. This would make it more understandable to the reader.
As you can see this book is the most interesting book ever. However it has plenty of mistakes and could have used a little more detail like when he said the vultures were flying overhead he could have said hovering, stalking, ect. Over this entire book contained plenty of action and surprises other than boring and lame begin. This book has a few messages, one is that you should be happy with what you have and not complain because it could get worse. Also one could be that don’t let riches and things get in the way of your life because they will destroy you.

Shirts
Shirts are a way to exspress your feelings. Also shirts keep things covered
up. The reason we wrote about shirts are because they are a way to exspress your self, your life what you do and what you like. Also shirts can kill you because some people judge you by what you wear, sadly.

favorite childhood memory
My favorite childhood memory was with my cousin and I. We went to visit them for the holidays in Colorado. After we received our presents We went into this big field that was surrounded by a whole bunch of houses. It sort of looked like a bowl because it was going to be a big pond when they finished the neighborhood, but there was no water in it. So we got some golf balls and clubs and we started whacking balls all around. Just before we ran out of golf balls we realized there was one of those places workers stay in while they are on the job and that we had been hitting it all the time. As soon as we found that out, we sprinted back leaving the rest of the balls behind. Later found out that it had been emty for a while and that nobody was there. Later that same week we flew kites and remote controll planes. It was very windy so we decidede to go to a park so our presants would not go in the trees. During our time at the park we got to eat these weird dishes from another country. this was my favirote memory because I was just having a good time.

the lottery
“It was a humid afternoon as the towns people picked up their rocks and took aim, even little john picked up a few pebbles.” PAGE 2 in the book The lottery by Shirley Jackson that is exactly what happens. For the size of this book you would think of a boring little story. This book is a flat out mouths open shocker. It also is a puzzle that is missing a few pieces, at the end the author lets you decide what will happen.
The thing I liked the most about this book was the story. The author really put some thought in this book giving the pieces of the puzzle to the reader in the wrong order mixing it up a bit to confuse the reader. In the end there were still some pieces of the puzzle missing witch left the reader wanting more. Also the word choice was great. Here is a small example page 16 “there was a general sigh”. There could have been nothing in front of sigh, or small could have been there.
Even though there was surplus of pros there were still a lot of cons. This book for me was not a very hard read, but it was the story line that made it challenging. While the author mixed things up a bit, he could have made it a little bit more understandable because up until the end you could not understand what you were reading. Also the author needs to have a better target because she kept jumping from difficult to easy reading levels, which I thought made it more difficult to read. Over all that was all she could have done better at describing the main character more insignificantly. It felt like she really had the power to stop the people and redraw the lottery. Also the author could have made the enemy more powerful. It made me feel like they were old weak and scrawny.
Overall this book had bad and some good decisions. The author made this book a flat out mouth dropper; she did this with a high sense of suspense. This book has two very good lessons to it; one is doing complain because it could be worse. The second one which would probably be the most notable one is that things are not what they seem to be.

oatmeal
oatmeal is very disgusting but it is very good for you. A study in a collage in oakland that people that ate oatmeal before taking a test did 80% better than the ones that ate other things. i think thney should serve oat meal in the cafitera. because it could help people that have test later. I would eat it even if it was disgusting.

Stormbraker
What would it be like to lose your one and only relative? In the book Stormbraker (he first book in this series) by Anthony Horthawitz , That is exactly what happens. During this book you will experience a action packed thriller full of surprises and some disappointments.
The first thing that makes this Book awesome is the surprises and the action. In the second chapter Alex Rider the main character is having a normal day and he sees his uncle’s car in the junkyard. Out of his curiosity he sneaks in and takes a look and there are bullet holes in the side. After that he would find out that is uncle was a spy. Then he was blackmailed into becoming a spy to. And then take revenge on his uncle’s death and so on. The action in this book was great mostly because everything was realistic and real. This is what this is because in the book he knocked out people in real pressers points and weak spots. The author (Anthony horthawitz) did not just say “ok he kicked him in the head and he got knocked out” no he took time to look and search for this stuff. Same with the weapons not made up REAL.
While this book has a lot of surprises it also has some things that could use a little work. The main thing the author could have done better on was the plotline. In the beginning had plenty of surprises but, by the time you read half the book you knew what was going to happen. He could have prevented this from happening by laying the story out slower or start targeting the people who digest everything slower. Other than that everything was just fine except the character smit in the beginning he was going to be helping with the mission but after that you never heard about him. It is like the author forgot about him.
Some books are good some are bad most are both. During this book you will experience a action packed book full of surprises, and a few disappointments. Like the time when he found his uncle’s car or the missing character. Those are just some of the reasons that makes this book a want to read more. If you have that in your books you’re going to be selling a lot of books. The point of this book is to give a sense of independence.
